Day 2 of the training at Roses Regency Hotel, Wuye, Abuja, began with an introduction and ice-breaking session with Adolescent Girls with Disabilities (AGWD). The participants shared personal life experiences, fostering connection and understanding.
During a press conference and sensitization/dialogue meeting held the same day, Barr. Catherine Edeh, Executive Director of Voice of Disability Initiative (VDI), addressed stakeholders and parents of AGWD. She shared her inspiring personal journey of becoming deaf, overcoming challenges, and achieving success, motivating others to embrace resilience.
Additionally, the Program Manager provided an overview of VDI and the VDI/UAF-IGNITE project, emphasizing its impact and goals for supporting AGWD.
