On 5th March 2024, VOICE OF DISABILITY INITIATIVE (VDI) team paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Secretary and management team of National Human Rights Commission Nigeria / NHRC Nigeria at its national secretariat in Abuja.
Supported by AmplifyChange, issues of mutual importance and shared visions between the organisations were discussed and identified during the meeting and grounds for possible collaboration and partnership explored.
VDI is committed to advancing inclusion and rights of PWDs, especially women, girls and children with disabilities across the country and beyond to ensure NO ONE LEFT IS BEHIND.
Our Mission is to advocate for the protection of rights of women, girls and children with disability and mainstreaming of disability-inclusive programmes into government strategy in Nigeria.
And we ENVISION a Nigerian society where the needs and rights of women, girls, and children with disabilities are guaranteed without discrimination.
